Don't think this product is truthfully all that necessary for a rack (hence why its likely not standard with the product), however for a little piece of mind at a very reasonable cost - it's worth it!
Product does just what it says it should. If you want the peace of mind for a nice rack, go for it!

I bought these for a Rogue Monster Lite rack. The Rogue HDPE protectors from the factory do not extend to the end of the J cup nor do they cover the metal end. The Aperture Engineering protectors fit perfectly under the Rogue HDPE J cup protector and prevent the barbell from contacting metal during racking or unracking. In our powerlifting gym we have several very expensive and hard to replace barbells including Eleiko and vintage York power bars. Anything that helps protect the barbell knurling from being worn down is definitely worth it. Highly recommend these.
